About Jarrett

Originally from Underwood, Iowa—a small town outside Council Bluffs—Jarrett Waters first ventured beyond the Midwest in 2019 to work a seasonal job at the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park. That experience sparked a lasting desire to travel, work in new places, and spend as much time outdoors as possible.

Since then, Jarrett has lived and worked in Yellowstone, Tempe, Stanley, Idaho, and Denali National Park, Alaska. His travels have taken him through 42 states, six countries, and 22 national parks. He has road-tripped across the country three times, driven through Canada to Alaska and back, completed the French Way of the Camino de Santiago, visited the Vatican, toured the streets of Amsterdam, and enjoyed a well-earned stein at Oktoberfest in Germany.

Jarrett’s introduction to Steamboat Springs began with what was supposed to be a monthlong visit with his aunt and uncle. He still remembers swimming in the Yampa River near the library, walking downtown, visiting F.M. Light & Sons, hiking Hahns Peak, camping at Pearl Lake, and experiencing his first “whitewater” rafting trip down the Yampa. The area left a lasting impression, and Steamboat eventually became more than another stop in his travels—it became home.

After an educational attempt at selling timeshares, Jarrett earned his real estate license in 2024 and later gained hands-on experience in property management. Today, he brings his small-town work ethic, local knowledge, and firsthand appreciation for the Yampa Valley to real estate. His goal is to help others find their own place in the Steamboat lifestyle and enjoy everything that makes this community special.
